HOW DO WE HELP YOU?
The human body is incredible, with each person unique
We understand this
This forms the cornerstone of our work in helping patients recover
Physiotheraphy
Our physiotherapists have a wealth of knowledge, understanding and experience spanning many different physiotherapy techniques applied to many conditions. They include ex-senior NHS staff and ones who have expanded their techniques after working in private clinics abroad. We feel we stand out because our aim is to do a thorough job to get brilliant, long term results and not have you returning for endless, pointless appointments.
-
We carry out an in-depth diagnosis of your complaint, which takes into account your lifestyle, injury history and any accidents which may have contributed to it.
They will then use a variety of strength and mobility tests, joint manipulation and mild pressure to assess your symptoms and explain how your body has been affected. Next we develop a unique treatment plan for you.
Here are some common patient complaints our male and female physiotherapists deal with:
Sciatica
Whiplash injuries
Headaches
Discogenic lesions ‘Slipped disc’
Muscular back pain
Posture related back and neck problems
Chronic pain
POST SURGICAL REHABILITATION
ACL reconstruction
Arthroscopy
Shoulder decompression or rotator cuff repair
POST FRACTURE REHABILITATION
Expert rehabilitation post trauma to ensure fast return to full function and sport
What is a Happyback Physiotherapy session like?
Following a thorough examination of your health and medical history, your physiotherapist will discuss what you hope to achieve. Your physiotherapist will design a personalised programme to rehabilitate you and ensure you are able to achieve a pain-free lifestyle as quickly as possible (encouraging customers to return for unnecessary appointments is not our philosophy). The techniques used to achieve this will vary but will be based upon forms of manual manipulation such as massage, prescribed movement, exercise, education and advice. We also use our advanced MLS Class IV Laser for areas too sensitive to be touched or for very quick recovery from certain conditions: handsonwellbeing.com/mls-class-iv-therapeutic-laser.

Acupuncture
Acupuncture is a treatment derived from ancient Chinese medicine. Fine needles are inserted at certain sites in the body for therapeutic or preventative purposes.
This results in the body producing natural substances, such as pain-relieving endorphins. It's likely that these naturally released substances are responsible for the beneficial effects experienced with acupuncture.

The Feldenkrais Method® can be experienced in two ways.
Individual sessions which are called Functional Integration® (FI) lessons
Group classes which are termed Awareness Through Movement® (ATM) lessons.

Osteopathy is a treatment for painful muscles, joints and ligaments which have typically become strained because of an injury or problems with posture. Occasionally there may be an underlying structural issue which increases the chances of injury, or a disease process at the source of the pain. Whatever the cause, as osteopaths we'll thoroughly assess and diagnose your issues and if we can help you, we'll aim to resolve the condition permanently, wherever that is feasible.

Our osteopaths treat babies through to old people, all genders, pathologies and sporting abilities.
We aim to not only aid recovery when the body is in need but also better the health of our patients. In this way, we can help prevent future ailments or injury through proper rehabilitation and education, as we fully believe that knowledge is power.
We aim to help our patients learn about themselves in order to help themselves for the future. We do this with a bespoke method of treatment and management because we care about each and every individual that we meet.
Your journey is our journey and we are there to help you every step of the way.
Our Philosophy
When you’re injured or in pain, you want someone to see and treat you as a whole person, not just your symptoms.
Our osteopaths at Happyback are great at not only treating your symptoms, but seeing the bigger picture and ensuring you do too.
We understand that your pain or injury is unique to you and needs a management plan that’s going to work with you and your lifestyle to empower you to not only get better but prevent it from happening again. All our sessions are firmly grounded in evidence-based practice based on the most up-to-date research in movement and injury, so you can be sure you’re in good hands.
Depending on what your issues are, you can expect your session to involve one or all of the following: an in-depth interview to discuss your symptoms, injury triage and functional assessment, muscle strength testing, stretch testing, manual treatment and exercise prescription and movement coaching.
So whether you’re suffering from a chronic problem, recent injury, or a performance issue, book yourself in and let us help you break the cycle of pain and dysfunction.

Our lead clinician and physiotherapist Romyna Menendez incorporates her years of Feldenkrais training into her physiotherapy sessions, giving you a near unique clinical experience, certainly in the UK - Feldenkrais is far more established over in the States, Germany and many other countries.
It is typically used by actors and dancers to maintain their bodies under the extreme stress which their profession demands. The Feldenkrais Method® offers a unique way of making lasting improvements to your life through movement. You will learn how to move through the world with greater ease, co-ordination, flexibility and grace.
It is a somatic practice that harnesses mindful attention and gentle movement to heighten awareness of yourself and your sensations. In doing so you learn from the inside out, making use of the brain’s plasticity – its ability to change for the better at any age.
